Schoolgirl, 12, sexually assaulted as she walked through park as cops hunt man

A 12-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl was sexually assaulted as she walked through a park – as cops release CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to.

The youngster was grabbed and "indecently touched" by a man as she strolled through Bowling Park, Bradford, at around 8.10am last month.

She was able to break free from the man unscathed – but was "understandably shaken" following the sexual assault on October 11, police said.

The attacker made off with the girl's phone before dropping it a short while later.

Cops have now released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

DI Julie Deacon of Bradford District Police said: "A substantial number of enquiries have been ongoing into what has been a serious but isolated incident, which we have recorded as a sexual assault.

"We are now in a position to release CCTV images of a man we would like to speak with in connection with the incident, and would ask anyone who can help identify him to get in touch.

"Anyone with information about the man or the offence is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 13210519025.

"Information can also be given online at anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
