Drunk woman arrested for driving nearly a mile on train tracks

A young woman has been arrested after allegedly driving nearly a mile along train tracks in Spain while three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Shocking CCTV footage shows a car driving down Metro tracks in Malaga on Saturday, November 7.

The driver had turned the wrong way along Boulevard Louis Pasteur, before going round a roundabout in the wrong direction, according to Euro Weekly News.

The car then crossed the Metro stop near Malaga University Hospital and arrived at the university before stalling.

Malaga Metro security guards found the vehicle on the tracks with three blown out tyres after it got stuck at the entrance to a tunnel.

Police had to call a tow truck to remove the car from the tracks.

A woman, 25, was given a breathalyser test, which allegedly showed she had 0.85 milligrams of alcohol per litre of air in her system.

She was charged with a crime against road safety while driving under the influence of alcohol.

The tracks were not majorly damaged, although the incident meant train services were cancelled for two hours.
