This Is My House might not have been the most highly-anticipated show of 2021, but it’s safe to say that after its first run on the BBC, fans are well and truly hooked – with some even demanding a second season.
The bizarre programme – which admittedly sounds pretty confusing on paper – works brilliantly on the box, with award-winning documentary maker Stacey Dooley at the helm and a panel of perfectly matched celebrity judges.
As Bill Bailey, Emily Atack, Judi Love and Jamali Maddix attempt to work out the true homeowner out of a group of compulsive liars, audiences can also get in on the fun and play along.

So , it's perhaps no surprise that plenty of fans are calling for a second series.
“I know everyone’s focused on the #LineOfDuty finale, but more importantly tonight is the last episode of #ThisIsMyHouse,” said one fan. “Announce the recommission please @BBCOne,” they demanded.
Another viewer pointed out similarities between the nosey interiors game show and recent TV hit, The Masked Singer. They wrote: “It’s a bit like The Masked Singer. It draws you in.”
The show has also gained a fan in the form of celebrity judge Emily's mum. Having clarified that she’s not being biased, Kate Robbins wrote: “Not just saying ‘cos Emily is in it… but what a great fun series #ThisIsMyHouse has been. Totally daft and totally heartwarming TV,”
Fellow This Is My House lovers took to Twitter to respond. One said: “Thoroughly enjoyed this series!!! Want more!!!”
While another wrote: “An iconic end to the series. GIVE US MORE #ThisIsMyHouse.”
It also seems that the show has managed to convert plenty of sceptics.
One viewer posted: “First episode: god this is awful. Sixth episode: here I am again #ThisIsMyHouse.”
While another wrote: “I don’t know how I’ve missed the existence of #ThisIsMyHouse but now I am hooked.”
Plus, there’s been the added joy of watching a surprise celebrity guest panelist take on the challenge each week. From Rob Rinder to Joe Sugg, it’s been an eclectic mix that we all seem to have thoroughly enjoyed.
Clearly, viewers have also savoured the mind boggling process of trying to sort the wheat from the chaff as social media has been set alight during each show with people posting their predictions.
Although we can’t confirm anything yet as there’s been no announcement made, we’re all keeping our fingers crossed that the show will make its sought-after comeback soon.
