When You Can Watch 'The Santa Clause' on TV This Christmas

What happens when Santa Claus falls off of your roof? Scott Calvin finds out in this Disney movie. If you’re looking to watch the adventures of Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) as Santa Claus, there’s one television network broadcasting the holiday favorite on Christmas Day.

Here’s what we know about how fans can watch The Santa Clause and its sequels on Dec. 25, 2020.

Freeform broadcasts ‘The Santa Clause’ in conjunction with their ‘25 Days of Christmas’ schedule

Scott Calvin is just a regular businessman trying to create happy holiday memories with his son. Everything changes when one Christmas Eve, Santa Claus falls off of his roof and Scott puts on the red suit, making him the next Santa Claus.

Throughout these movies, Scott Calvin, portrayed by Allen, learns about the true meaning of Christmas, all while trying to be the best Santa possible. Thanks to a partnership with Disney, The Santa Clause will play on Dec. 25 on the television network, Freeform, in conjunction with their “25 Days of Christmas” movie schedule.

Christmas Day holds a marathon of The Santa Clause, with the first movie in the trilogy playing at 10:30 a.m. That’s followed by The Santa Clause 2, which broadcasts at 12:30 p.m. The final movie in the collection, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, broadcasts at 2:30 p.m.

This wouldn’t be the only time the television network Freeform broadcasted the holiday favorite. The Santa Clause played throughout the month of December, as did movies like The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York will both broadcast on Christmas Day on Freeform for their “25 Days of Christmas.” Thanks to a partnership with Freeform, though, The Santa Clause will not play on any other television network on Christmas Day.

‘The Santa Clause’ is available on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+

If you want to stream The Santa Clause and its sequels anytime, a subscription to Disney’s streaming platform is your best bet. Disney+ houses several holiday favorites, including this collection starring Allen.

There’s also the Home Alone movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and animated classics starring Mickey Mouse and his friends. It’s due to this partnership that The Santa Clause will not be broadcasted on other television networks on Christmas Day.

The movie is also available for purchase digitally and physically

If you miss The Santa Clause marathon on Freeform for Christmas Day, there are a few other ways to stream this movie. The films starring Allen are available for rent and purchase digitally thanks to platforms like Amazon Prime.
