When is Too Close out?

Too Close is a gripping new psychological thriller delving into the mind of Connie Mortensen (played by Denise Gough) – a woman accused of a terrible crime.

She claims she cannot remember anything about the incident, and it is down to forensic psychiatrist Dr Emma Robertson (Emily Watson) to get to the truth.

The series will air on ITV this April, but an official release date is yet to be announced.

At this moment in time, there is no knowing whether the episodes will air weekly, across consecutive days or whether they will arrive all at once.

All we know is that it will consist of three episodes, and it is based on the novel of the same name published under the pseudonym Natalie Daniels.

Who is in the cast of Too Close?

Denise Gough and Emily Watson are the leading lights behind the series, as Connie and Emma.

Connie’s best friend, Ness Jones, is played by Thalissa Teixeira – known for her roles in Two Weeks To Live and The Musketeers.

Watson has previously worked on Chernobyl and Appropriate Adult, whereas Gough is best known for her theatre work.

The cast also consists of James Sives, Risteárd Cooper, Chizzy Akudolu, Karl Johnson, Eileen Davies, Nina Wadia and Paul Chahidi.

Is there a trailer for Too Close?

A trailer for the series was released on March 22 and it shows Emma and her partner discussing Connie’s murder attempt.

Fans then see a shocking image of Connie, looking battered and bruised, with her hair shaved off.

When Emma introduces herself as Connie’s new forensic psychologist, Connie responds bitterly: “Well, don’t you sound pleased with yourself”.

Connie’s voice is heard saying: “What are you meant to do with all the love that’s left over when someone’s gone?”

Emma attempts to find out the truth behind Connie’s actions, but Connie is able to get inside Emma’s head.
