The Chase viewers gutted as clever team miss out on huge £45,000 cash prize

The Chase fans were gutted for Tuesday's team as they were beaten by chaser Paul Sinha and lost their huge £45,000 cash prize.

Bradley Walsh had high praise for the team throughout the episode, so it was a shocking end result for the three contestants to make it through to the final round.

Randall was the first player who impressed, taking the high offer of £32,000 and winning it for the team's prize fund.

The next two players also did well, as Debbie and Leslie added to the fund and made it £45,000.

Sadly, Jeff didn't make it to the end, so it was a team of three taking on Paul.

They were hoping to take home £15,000 each, but unfortunately Paul was too good to beat tonight.

The clever quizzer won the show with 28 seconds to spare.

Viewers were gutted for the team, as one tweeted: "I'm absolutely gutted for them, should have had Jeff there!"

While another wrote: "Disappointing score for such a good team."

"Disappointing final chase there…", penned a third.

In other news, at the start of tonight's episode ITV teased viewers with a glimpse at the new chaser.

The show included a silhouette of the new quizzing expert when introducing which chaser would take on the team that day.
