Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) has been facing the prospect of life imprisonment in EastEnders after murdering evil Leo King (Tom Wells), but she’s holding out hope that Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) will be able to help prevent that from becoming a reality, but what will transpire as her bail hearing arrives during tonight’s hour-long instalment?
With Whitney’s freedom at stake after she turned herself in to the police for having murdered Leo, Tiffany (Maisie Smith) sought help from Gray, who agreed to represent the young woman.
However, the solicitor has been feeling the pressure — especially considering he’s still representing Kush (Davood Ghadami) following him having pushed Leo from the balcony of The Prince Albert.
During tonight’s hour-long episode, the pressure piles on for Gray once more, and Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) worries about her husband’s well-being as he and Kush set off for court for the plea hearing. As they do so, Gray subtly plants some more seeds of doubt in the market trader’s mind — but will Kush plead guilty in order to help Whitney?
Later, Whitney’s bail hearing takes place, and Gray is forced to hide his stress as he feels pressured to deliver from all angles.
Tiffany, Jack (Scott Maslen) and Max (Jake Wood) all await the outcome outside, as tensions boil over during the hearing, and Whitney struggles to maintain her cool.
What will transpire?
What will the verdict be?
