Spoilers: Geoff's disgusting past revealed in Corrie

Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) has been incredibly evasive about his past in Coronation Street, and what he has revealed we’ve had to take with a pinch of salt given that his word simply isn’t reliable enough given that he’s a master manipulator, but we’re about to find out a whole lot more about him in the coming episodes courtesy of an inquisitive Alya Nazir (Sair Khan).

Geoff continues to fill Yasmeen’s (Shelley King) head with thoughts about what their life would be like abroad. However, in spite of her husband’s wishes, Yasmeen is adamant that she doesn’t want to leave because of Alya — but he insists she’s welcome to come and stay with them.

Meanwhile, Alya is horrified when a valuer arrives at Speed Daal and reveals that Geoff has sent him due to the fact that they’re selling the business.

As a result, she makes a beeline for Yasmeen’s house and confronts her grandmother — who reveals that she and Geoff she are, in fact, moving to Cyprus.

Alya’s horrified and reveals that she believes Geoff is abusing her and trying to isolate her from her family. Determined to protect her, Alya starts packing Yasmeen’s things.

Later, Geoff demands to know where Yasmeen’s planning on going, and — as he questions her — he glares at her with a cold stare. Alya proceeds to call him a control freak, and asserts that as long as Yasmeen’s away from him then all is good.

With little choices left, Alya then goes to the police and reports Geoff — as she believes he must have a history of abuse.

Later in the week, Geoff goes on about Cyprus once more, commenting that without Alya to cause trouble, all will be well for them. However, little does he know of the trouble Alya’s about to cause him, as she investigates some more, and discovers that he and a former girlfriend were charged with having caused an affray.

She later relays this information to Yasmeen, before imploring her to remain on the street, but with Geoff having returned home, Yasmeen encourages Alya to leave.

Yasmeen later asks Geoff about the fight he’d had with an ex, which prompts him to become angry, and thus he sweeps her plate of curry from the table — sending it straight to the floor.

Yasmeen is terrified, but Geoff tells her not to wait up, as he heads into town.

Has this information given Yasmeen the way out she needs? Or will Geoff manage to talk his way out of it once more?
