Spoilers: Gary kills again as Mikey North hints at ‘cold blooded murder'

Whenever Gary Windass is around, blood is sure to be spilled – whether the Coronation Street villain means to kill or not.

With him having caused the death of Rana and killed Rick in self defence – as well as being central to the Winter Wonderland shootout – Gary has a lot of blood on his hands.

Actor Mikey North still stands by that there could be a redemption arc for the character – but has also hinted that his alter ego may well kill again.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘I’ve had a great couple of years. I have had some great storylines and working with some fantastic people. I’m looking forward to the next couple of years. A lot of the mad things he does, it’s with a good intention. He hasn’t killed anyone in cold blood just yet.’

Yet eh? And with every villain, there has to be a comeuppance!

Mikey laughed: ‘My mortgage is dreading the reckoning. I’d rather have that jeopardy than not doing much – I wouldn’t swap it for anything.’

But if Gary does indeed kill again, Mikey reckons he knows who will be at the top of the hit list after this week.

He revealed: ‘Gary is involved with Ray and he is going to discover Ray in an uncompromising position with his sister and turning his back and joining forces with the Street to fight against him.’

Ever the optimist though, Mikey is still certain that Gary can be saved and even forgiven for his many poor decisions and serious crimes.

He reasoned: ‘I hope underneath that he has got a heart and that it might one day redeem him. But I don’t know when that might be.

‘He came in as a chavvy, greasy haired bad boy then he turned nice and has now gone to his darkest ways. He is a rounded nature – that’s his redeeming nature that he’s got.’
