Queen of the South will begin its fifth and final outing as the popular series nears its end. American fans will be treated to the drama first via USA Network with season five premiering on network this evening, Wednesday, April 7. With just a handful of episodes left to wrap up Teresa Mendoza’s (played by Alice Braga) story, plenty is expected from series five.

What time is Queen of the South on tonight?

Thankfully, there isn’t too much longer to wait for fans in the States.

Season five of Queen of the South will debut tonight but as there is more than one time zone in America, the start time varies.

While the physical time may be different, the show is going to air at the exact same moment across the country.

If you live in the eastern time zone, then Queen of the South will be on at 10pm tonight.

However, if you live in the central time zone in the States, then the drama will be airing a little earlier.

Queen of the South season five, episode one, will start at 9pm on USA Network.

For those in the Pacific time zone, the episode is going to begin at 7pm.

Meanwhile, those who go by Mountain time, including states such as Arizona, Colorado and Montana, will have to wait until 8pm for the show to start.

While it may be exciting news for American fans to hear of Queen of the South’s return, it isn’t so much for international viewers.

The drug drama usually airs in America on USA Network first before being dropped on Netflix.

Unfortunately, going by previous seasons, there has been around a year-long wait before the latest series has arrived on the streaming service.

There has been talk of a possible early Netflix release date though so there could be a chance of global fans being able to watch the final series sooner than expected.

Earlier this year, USA Network announced that Queen of the South would be coming to an end.

Series five will be the show’s final batch of 10 episodes, concluding Teresa’s journey to becoming a queenpin.

But could it end in with Teresa being murdered as predicted in the first-ever flashforward scene back in series one?

And if so, who will be the person responsible for her death in the final series?

In a statement, executive producers Dailyn Rodriguez, Ben Lobato and David Friendly said: “We could not be prouder of our entire cast and crew that joined us on this magnificent journey.

“Queen of the South began shooting in Mexico City, brought us to faraway places like Malta and Colombia and finally landed in New Orleans.

“We cannot wait to share the explosive final season with our devoted fans.

“And, of course, we could not have made this show without the talented and tireless Alice Braga, who brought our queen to life.”

Queen of the South season 5 starts tonight, Wednesday, April 7, on USA Network.
