Meghan Markle's interview covered everything from intimate moments with her family to her LA life revelations including begging Prince Harry to create a dance video with her and the adjustment of having a second baby.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared on the US talk show to have a brief chat about her family life, take part in a shocking skit and gift one lucky audience member $20,000 to help set up their charity.

Aside from the charitable donation and the skit which left viewers cackling – what happened in the interview?

Meghan spilled slithers of her life to Ellen, without giving too much detail, but she shared her passions and upcoming projects – while sharing a little on her home life.

Life with Prince Harry

It seems Meghan and Harry are well and truly loving Californian life as the pair settle into their new lavish and luxurious pad worth $11million.

Meghan, who lives near TV host Ellen, confessed that the pair are incredibly happy with their lives as she said that she will be putting together their home cooked Thanksgiving dinner this year.

While they're loving their life away from the royal regime, it seems Harry isn't quite ready to go complete Californian and become an influencer…

Speaking to Ellen star Twitch, Meghan said: "I love the videos you and your wife did when she was pregnant. I love them so much."

She then confessed that she had tried to get Harry on board with recreating some of the scenes – but unfortunately for Meghan, he wasn't having any of it.

Family adjustment

Meghan famously quoted that having one child is a "hobby, having two is parenting".

The Duchess spoke out about the trials and tribulations of having two children, adding that not only was it an adjustment for the happy couple, but also for their eldest son Archie.

Speaking to Ellen about the challenges, she said: "Suddenly we realised, 'oh right', everyone talks about what it's like for the second child but no-one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along.

"I think they have that moment of, 'oh, this is fun, oh, this is how it is now'."

Meghan and Harry welcomed their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on June 4, 2021.

Despite the challenges of parenthood, Meghan said that seeing Harry as a dad is "the most beautiful thing to watch".

Secret incognito date

Before they wed, Meghan and Harry were dating for some time in secret.

Talking Ellen on her daytime show, the Duchess of Sussex described how she and Prince Harry went undercover to enjoy a night out before they were married.

While they were still keeping their romance on the down-low, Meghan said that the pair went to a party, alongside Eugenie and her husband Jack.

She said: "He came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well.

"And the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple."

Meghan added: "It was a post-apocalypse theme, we had all this very bizarre costume thing going on and we were able to just have one final fun night out.

Meghan's projects

Aside from gifting a member of the audience $20,000 towards a charity she had recently launched, Meghan is planning big things in the US.

The Duchess of Sussex, who previously worked in the US on hit TV series Suits, has shared her passion about implementing family leave.

She recognised that the US doesn't have a federal paid family leave programme and stated she wants to do all she can to support the project landing in the US.

Guzzling baby milk

It seems part of Meghan's lavish LA lifestyle includes some odd aspects, particularly as she had Ellen hidden in an earpiece telling her how to act during a skit.

Meghan seemed a far cry from her usual self as she publicly squatted in the street before playing a prank on unsuspecting vendors.

She was shopping for crystals and closing her eyes while holding the crystal close to her head and chanting.

The mother-of-two also looked at some hot sauces and said: "Mumma loves hot sauce!"

As she was told by the TV host to go in her back, she pulled out a bottle of baby milk and began singing 'I'm a kitten' and meowing.

While we're sure it's not part of her usual life routine, it was certainly an odd spin.

Battered old car

Meghan confessed to driving a battered old car before she met Prince Harry.

After she was reminded of driving into the same lot she appeared in that very same day, Meghan recalled: "I would park at gate three and then I would scoot on over and what was so nice is the security guards here would always say, 'Break a leg! We hope you get it!' So the drive in today was very different."

Ellen asked Meghan if she was seen at the lot so much that the security guards recognised her, Meghan replied bashfully: "I think they probably said it to everybody. That's how nice they were."

She recalled how different life was back then, and told Ellen about how she used to drive an old Ford Explorer Sport with "a life of its own."

She said: "At a certain point the key stopped working on the driver's side so you couldn't get yourself in through the door.

"So after auditions I was parked at the back of the parking lot, and I would open the trunk and climb in and pull it shut behind me.

"I'd crawl over all my seats to get out, that's how I would come to and fro" she revealed as the audience clapped."

Meghan ended the show by giving the audience members an extra little treat as Ellen confirmed that they could all return for more chances to win some prizes.
