There was a major victory for viewers as it was revealed season four of Manifest had been picked up by Netflix after initially being cancelled by NBC. Ahead of its premiere to the network, Manifest actor Matt Long spoke out about his character and shared a sad update about his stint on the series.

After it was announced NBC was dropping the supernatural drama, the show’s creator Jeff Rake and fans took to social media to share a viral campaign to save the series.

With the uncertainty surrounding season four, many of the cast took on other roles away from the Netflix drama.

This included actor Max Long who played Zeke, as he joined the cast of NBC’s new series of Getaway.

As the renewal of Manifest was announced, many of the stars signed new deals to accommodate for the series.

According to Variety, Matt confirmed he would “be back for some” episodes in season four.

The actor explained: “We are just trying to work out the maximum amount that we can, we’re just trying to work out schedules, and everybody wants the best thing for everyone.

“So fingers crossed that it all works out for the best,” he added.

Matt admitted his character played a “big part ” in season three and couldn’t wait to see what Zeke had in store.

Manifest followed the lives of the people on board flight 838 from Montego Bay back to New York.

Unbeknownst to them, all 191 passengers and crew members were presumed dead after the plane went missing for five years.

They were only made aware of their mysterious disappearance after they arrived at the airport.

As detectives began to investigate the incident they began to realise the situation was more complicated than initially anticipated.

The passengers were experiencing their own disturbing realities which continued to unsettle them.

Out of nowhere, they began hearing voices, having visions and feelings that urged them to undertake a task depending on their calling.

This also happened with Zeke, as he developed a unique skill which set him apart from the other passengers.

It was first noticed in the season three episode titled Deadhead when he had the ability to accurately, yet oddly describe Saanvi’s (Parveen Khaur) emotional state.

Although it was never explained, it happened again when he sensed Beverly (Adriane Lenox) was upset and was able to connect with her emotionally.

So far, he had used his new skill to help people however, season four could see him tap into a different purpose.

The season three finale also saw his wife Michaela ( Melissa Roxburgh) come to terms with her very unresolved feelings for onetime fiancé Jared (J.R. Ramirez).

Thankfully, the viral campaign paid off and fans will soon be able to watch Manifest on Netflix, will be updated with new information.
