The ITV veteran, 61, told Susanna Reid and Adil Ray during Thursday's edition of Good Morning Britain how she woke up to find her adorable dog Angus turned on the TV.

Lorraine said via video link: "I had a very very weird experience in the night.

"It was 2.30am and the lights were on and it was noisy.

"I thought someone was having a party in my house."

She continued: "I went downstairs and Angus had put his head the remote and put the TV on and then I couldn't get back to sleep.

"It was very weird."

Laughing, Lorraine added: "I think he was watching the heavy metal channel… it was bonkers."

Lorraine often brings border terrier Angus into the spotlight with the cute dog joining her in a range of TV appearances over the years.

After the first lockdown, Lorraine aired a segment on the mutt getting a post lockdown trim like the rest of the shaggy nation.
