Linda learns the horrific truth about Mick's abuse in EastEnders at Christmas?

Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) has been struggling to come to terms with the revelation that he was abused in care in EastEnders, but will Linda (Kellie Bright) learn the truth over the Christmas period?

When Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) revealed that she was his daughter, Mick realised that he had been abused in care by Katy (Simone Lahbib).

Katy has denied the abuse, but having her back in his life has left him confused, and he’s been unable to open up about what he’s been going through to wife Linda.

However, could the truth be set to out this festive season?

Linda desperately tries to explain to Mick how she’s been feeling, but he doesn’t respond.

Desperate to get through to him, she reaches for the bottle and taunts him with it — desperate for him to fight for her.

Will Mick finally reveal what he’s going through?

As Christmas Day arrives, Mick and Ollie have lunch with Shirley (Linda Henry), Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith).

Tina gives Mick a present — it’s an old photo of them and Katy at the care home.

Mick freezes.

Will he reveal everything?

The following week, Katy tries to pin the blame for everything that happened on Linda.

As New Year’s Eve arrives, Mick is consumed with emotion about his past, and finds himself struggling to cope with the enormity of the situation. He begins to crumble, as he battles his past demons.

Mick confronts his deepest fears and faces them, while Linda seals her fate — and learns some shocking truths along the way.

One to watch: Friday January 1 on BBC One.
