Joey Essex shares throwback snap of himself at 16-years-old as he parties it up on lads holiday in Magaluf

JOEY Essex may have gained fame, fortune and 1.6million Instagram followers over the last 10 years – but he has evidently always been a typical Essex lad at heart.

The former Towie star, 26, has shared a snap of himself at just 16-years-old as he parties it up in Magaluf with his pals.

He looks slightly dazed as he is surrounded by his friends in the red-lit club.

Joey, who is set to star for a second time in E4's Celebs Go Dating, wears a dark polo shirt lined with white and has pulled his hair down.

One of his friends sips on his orange drink as they seem hilariously bored by the experience.

He comments on the snap: "This picture brings back to many memories… 16 years old bopping about in BCM Magaluf with the boys was LIVEEEE back in da day kuzzy #Still #Maga #WOLLOP."

The Sun recently revealed that Joey has been banned from dating his Celebs Go Dating co-stars by E4 bosses.

This is after the former TOWIE star hooked up with Made In Chelsea's Stephanie Pratt during the first series.

Joey told The Sun that the new rule is “written in my contract.”

The former TOWIE and Made In Chelsea stars had, after all, missed the point of the programme, which was intended to set them up with members of the public.

He dumped the socialite after just three months in October for making him "spend too much time in Chelsea".

A source said: “Joey wasn’t up for spending every minute in Chelsea with Stephanie.

“He genuinely fell for her and even though they were an unlikely couple, he hoped it could turn into something more serious.

“But he realised it was never going to work with him spending so much time away from home.”
