'F9' Trailer Reveals Which Character Can't Drive

Most of the Fast & Furious drive characters since cars play a big part in the franchise. But there is one character who can’t drive. The F9 trailer revealed who that is and more about the upcoming movie.

‘F9’ trailer teases upcoming stories

The F9 trailer is here, and it’s showing a lot is still in store for Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family. The group reunites, and Dom has to face his brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena).

Jakob also happens to be a thief and assassin. He’s now working under Cipher (Charlize Theron), who was tearing apart the Shaw family in The Fate of the Furious.

The movie will mark the big return of Han (Sung Kang). He was assumed to be dead around the time of Tokyo Drift. Han was seen crashing his car in the movie, and then it blew up. It was later revealed that Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) actually killed him as revenge on Dom. Fans will soon find out how Han survived and what he’s been up to during all this time.

‘F9’ trailer reveals which character can’t drive

It looks like the group will be helping Dom out, but a trailer reveals one of the characters actually can’t drive.

Ramsay (Nathalie Emmanuel) walks up to a truck. She’s talking to someone through a device and says, “OK, this might be a bad time to mention this. But I don’t drive.” She’s then in the driver’s seat of the stick shift truck and has trouble getting started.

This makes sense, given Ramsay is a hacker and isn’t really seen behind the wheel. But now it’s confirmed in this movie that it’s because she can’t drive.

Nathalie Emmanuel hoped women would do more in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise

Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz, previously made an Instagram post calling for “love” for the franchise’s women, and Emmanuel agreed.

“I think Fast and Furious has done well in writing parts for women, especially in later movies,” she told GQ. “They definitely have created really cool, strong women within it, but obviously, there’s always room for improvement.”

Emmanuel continued, “I would like to see more of that. I support Michelle’s idea of writing more parts for women or giving women more to do and having their own voice. That doesn’t mean that I don’t think that they’re already doing that somewhat, I just always would like to see more of it.”

It’s hard to say if Ramsay will actually have more to do in this new movie. But it looks like her character is growing, and we’re learning more about her shortcomings.
