Emmerdale is set for chilling scenes this week as Manpreet Sharma gets a terrifying shock at the hospital after escaping from murderer sister Meena Jutla.
Only recently, village murderer Meena had been keeping Manpreet and Vinny Dingle locked up in an abandoned barn and planning to kill them both in a horrific double murder plot.
However, Manpreet and Vinny were saved by Liam Cavanagh on Thursday's episode after he discovered Meena had lied about the baby and miscarriage.
Elsewhere, Charles, who discovered Meena's lies, started to become suspicious as he decided to drive up to the barn as he feared that Manpreet could be in danger.
And in a cruel twist of fate, as Charles drove to the location, he accidentally hit Manpreet in his car as she had just escaped from the barn with the doctor lying lifeless in the road.
Manpreet has since been recovering in hospital while Meena escaped to Glasgow in a lorry with a "new victim" after hitchhiking a ride from the crime scene.
In upcoming scenes, a police officer leaves his post outside Manpreet's room just as she wakes up disoriented and confused.
And Manpreet is soon left terrified as she lets out a scream when she spots the nurse and sees that it is Meena.
Has Meena returned for revenge and will Manpreet be okay?
It comes after Executive Producers Jane Hudson and Laura Shaw spoke to OK! and other press outlets at a recent event about Meena's "judgement day".
They teased: "Well, I think it's fair to say that judgement day for Meena is coming. Whether she'll get away with murder or not, you're going to have to wait and find out."
The bosses continued: "There are still some more twists and turns to be had in this story – some that you probably won't see coming.
"I think we're all agreed that Meena can do pretty much anything, but yes, judgement day is coming and it won't play out quite as you expect."
