The beginning of a new week brings with it plenty of drama in all of our favourite soaps, as Suki Panesar’s (Balvinder Sopal) cancer lie is exposed at the hands of Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) in EastEnders, while Ali Neeson (James Burrows) makes a big decision in Coronation Street.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) realises that Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has revealed her diagnosis to Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) in Emmerdale, while Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) toys with taking his revenge to the next level in Hollyoaks.
Jean exposes Suki’s lie in EastEnders
Jean is determined to find out if Suki is lying about her cancer, and she catches her out — which results in Suki issuing her with a warning. Jean accuses her once more in the Vic and Kheerat, Jags, Vinny and Ash are disgusted — but Ash and Kheerat are left suspicious.
Ali makes a decision in Coronation Street
Gary asks Sharon to teach Gary a lesson and, later, the doctor collapses, as Toyah reveals she believes he’s taken an overdose of diazepam. Maria and Gary are horrified as he’s taken away in an ambulance, prompting Gary to contact Sharon — blaming her for what’s happened to Ali. With Maria unwilling to listen to him in regards to Gary being responsible, Ali decides that he can no longer stay put in the street, and therefore sets about making a departure. After one final goodbye with Ryan, he leaves Weatherfield.
Charity makes a revelation in Emmerdale
Charity proves incredibly supportive towards Vanessa, but when she later arrives home to find Tracy planning a surprise party for Vanessa, she panics and drags Tracy outside — but Tracy refuses to stop the celebrations, that is until Charity ends up revealing that Vanessa has cancer.
Mitchell’s birthday party arrives in Hollyoaks
Mitchell, Martine and Scott return from their holiday, and — with it being Mitchell’s birthday — he hopes Walter will turn up to celebrate with him, so he leaves him a letter.
Mitch grows suspicious of Gray in EastEnders
Jack mentions that he saw Gray going in to a hotel, and Mitch is intrigued as a result. He later quizzes Gray — something which leaves the solicitor furious — and he then confides in Karen that he thinks Gray’s having an affair. Karen refuses to believe such a thing, but Mitch is determined to find out what’s going on.
James makes a shocking realisation in Coronation Street
Aggie collects her award at the Golden Hearts ceremony, but a reporter approaches James and reveals that there are rumours in regards to his sexuality circulating on online, leaving the young man in shock. James insists that he’s not gay and runs off, and later he discovers that Danny accidentally outed him on social media.
Laurel reveals the truth in Emmerdale
Laurel believes everything is going to be okay, but Archie ends up carelessly handling Sandy’s ship in a bottle, and later a crash can be heard. Laurel discovers Archie trapped underneath a cabinet, and she assumes Arthur is responsible, prompting her to reveal the truth to Jai — leaving him floored.
Juliet makes a dangerous decision in Hollyoaks
Jordan asks Juliet to sell drugs in different schools, and she tries out a selection of different ties in order to play the part. She heads to another local school complete in the corresponding attire, but PC George Kiss spots her. Later, she brags that she sold her whole supply.
Mick worries about Linda in EastEnders
Linda makes great progress, but Mick is still concerned and thus — after Tian mentions how she cleared out her stashed alcohol — he decides to search too, but Linda catches him and is hurt he doesn’t trust her. Later, Linda goes to another meeting and Mick is proud of her, while Stuart tries to support her when he spots her and sees her doubts.
Alya discovers what Geoff’s up in Coronation Street
Alya comes to realise that the Speed Daal critic is none other than Geoff, but when she confronts him on the matter, he denies it, and Yasmeen sides with him. Geoff argues that since working together is no longer an option, Alya could sign her share of the business over to him — but she’s having none of it.
