Over the past couple of weeks, Dan Walker has introduced Nadiya Bychkova to his wife Sarah, and their children, with the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer quickly becoming a hit in the Walker household. However, during an interview with Jimmy Carr on Monday’s BBC Breakfast, the host snapped back at the comedian as he asked about how his marriage was since he started doing Strictly – referring to the Strictly Come Dancing curse.
After Carol Kirkwood had finished the weather segment, Jimmy said: “We should just talk about Strictly.”
“We’re meant to be talking about you,” Sally told him as Jimmy continued: “Yeah, but Strictly is the thing.”
Turning to Dan, he asked: “What is the dance this week?”
Dan replied: “The dance this week, Jimmy I can exclusively reveal is the Foxtrot.”
He continued: “The theme is Sleeping Beauty.”
Interrupting Dan, Jimmy went on to ask: “More importantly, how is the marriage?”
“We’re a couple of weeks in now,” Jimmy continued as Sally laughed: “Oh, stop!”
The host joked: “I am fine, I have got no problem with it.”

Hitting back at the comedian, Dan said: “Nadiya came around on day one to meet the family.
“The kids love her…” Dan explained as Jimmy chipped in: “To meet the family and to say goodbye.”
“My wife is having a lovely time getting to know her as well,” Dan insisted. “We are rock solid.”
“Excellent,” Jimmy replied. “I was just checking as the listeners are concerned.”
“I appreciate your honesty,” Dan added before taking a swipe at Jimmy: “Let’s talk about your taxes.”
When asked whether he thinks he can win the competition, Dan simply said: “Absolutely not.”
When Dan and Nadiya began training for Strictly, the presenter took the opportunity to show the dancer his hometown of Sheffield.
Nadiya met Sarah and the couple’s children, daughters Susanna and Jessica, and son Joe, alongside their beloved pet dog Winnie.
He also documented Nadiya’s visit by sharing updates with his Instagram followers.
Sharing a number of photos to social media, Dan penned “I got the chance to show @nadiyabychkova around Sheffield a bit today after training.
“She came to meet Sam at @capellihairsheffield – she’s booked in for a few weeks time – and she popped round for tea too!
“Mrs Walker cooked something lovely & the kids (and Winnie) had a lovely time #SheffieldIsSuper #
