The Coronation Street barmaid is well-known for her selfish schemes when it comes to getting what she wants, but recently she and Daniel (played by Rob Mallard) seem to have clicked. Although they couldn’t be more different, the teacher seems to bring out the best in Daisy (Charlotte Jordan). When they end up splitting up in future scenes of the ITV soap though, Daniel is told he’s had a lucky escape. Daisy, on the other hand, is tempted to open up to him about how she really feels. She might swallow her pride and propose to Daniel, only for him to reject her.

In upcoming episodes, Daniel winds Daisy up and hints that she’s uneducated, which she takes to heart.

Offended, she storms out, leaving Daniel to feel bad for his comments.

Angered, Daisy heads to The Rovers, where she spots footballer James Bailey’s (Nathan Graham) teammate, Ashley.

As he eyes her up from across the bar, Daisy becomes intrigued.

Joining him at his table, she demands a drink from him.

Daniel hides his jealousy as Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) tells him she left her stepdaughter chatting the footballer up.

Later on, Daisy unveils her true feelings to Jenny, admitting she still likes Daniel.

Jenny thinks she’s only interested in Daniel because he’s inherited a house, though.

Unfortunately, the schoolteacher overhears their conversation and becomes frustrated with Daisy.

She insists she was never after his money, but a row ensues.

Eventually, the Weatherfield stirrer ends things, telling Daniel it was nice knowing him.

She explains to Jenny that she and Daniel are over and that she will be taking up Ashley’s invitation to a weekend away.

Confiding in Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about the breakup, Daniel is told he has dodged a bullet.

Bumping into Daisy later, Daniel informs her he’s pleased she has moved on, but Daisy is hurt.

Noticing how much she cares about Daniel, Jenny urges Daisy to tell him how she really feels.

But with Daniel pleased to have moved on and “escaped” the drama associated with Daisy, the two could be on different pages.

Always one to make big statements, Daisy might decide to show Daniel how she feels by making a huge gesture and proposing to him.

It seems Daniel has accepted the two are over though, and he may be focused on moving on with his life.

Also, they hadn’t been together for very long, so he could be reluctant to get engaged.

Surprisingly, Daisy has been enjoying getting to know Daniel’s young son, Bertie (Rufus Morgan-Smith).

Although she admitted she wasn’t keen on children initially, she told Daniel she enjoys looking after his son.

Daniel was pleased and could see a future with Daisy, but it seems his mindset has changed.

Daisy seems like she is serious about being with Daniel though, and is affected by their split.

However, with Daniel constantly being told by Adam how much trouble Daisy is, he’s unlikely to feel the same after their break-up.

It’s likely Daniel will say no to her proposal, but how will Daisy take the rejection?

With her pride hurt, the barmaid might decide never to speak to Daniel again and is likely to end up with Ashley.

Will the couple be able to get past the incident and try things again?

Coronation Street continues on Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
