Senseis John Kreese (played by Martin Kove) and Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffin) came out on top at the end of another gruelling karate tournament in the Netflix series’ latest season. With Cobra Kai planning to franchise across America, one of the show’s biggest young stars has teased how the rest of the students are planning to fight back.
Main cast member Jacob Bertrand has previewed what’s coming for Eli ‘Hawk’ Moskowitz and the rest of the young martial artists in the Karate Kid sequel.
Cobra Kai has fast become one of Netflix’s most popular series, and a fifth season has already finished filming.
Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and his students could be entering their darkest chapter yet, though, after the return of his old nemesis.
As more students start to wise up to Kreese and Terry’s dangerous karate style, season five could also see more Cobra Kai members start to drop out.
Teasing what’s next for his character, Jacob told Men’s Health: “You definitely will see a new side of Hawk.
“He’s definitely gotten more confident since winning the All Valley, and there’s a lot of eyes on him.”
After defecting from Cobra Kai in season three, Hawk was ambushed by members of the enemy dojo who shaved his signature mohawk hairstyle.
Although Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang lost out on the overall victory, Hawk came out on top in his All Valley bout with Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan).
Now he’s regained his confidence, his strength and determination will be valuable weapons in the final face-off against Kreese and Terry’s students.
He continued: “He’s in a different position than he has ever been before, where he’s aware there are other people looking up to him.
“But there’s also still a lot of tension, none of that went away.”
At the beginning of the series, Hawk was introduced as a meek and shy teen who was constantly picked on by his bigger classmates.

Some of his bullies have since become even more dangerous under Kreese’s tutelage, making the fight against Cobra Kai extra personal.
However, Hawk is gradually coming into his own, and his All Valley win could even convince some of his opponents to switch sides to Miyagi-do.
“And there’s some pretty cool team-ups,” Jacob continued.
“There are some very cool people who end up working together that you don’t expect. I don’t know if that’s a big spoiler or not.”
There has already been plenty of speculation about whether Cobra Kai’s current line-up will remain the same heading into season five.
Robby, the estranged son of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), was shaken after his match with Hawk, and could start to question his sensei’s teachings.
Meanwhile, the fierce feud between Tory Nichols (Peyton List) and Daniel’s daughter Sam (Mary Mouser) might be showing signs of coming to an end after another shocking All Valley match.
It’s still unknown whether a sixth season of Cobra Kai is in the pipeline, but Netflix’s next karate showdown won’t be one to miss.
Cobra Kai seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix.
