A PLACE In The Sun host Jonnie Irwin called out his indecisive show contestants as they changed the goalposts entirely on their sun-soaked property hunt.
The Channel 4 anchor was left stunned as Michael and Seamus switched their initial enthusiasm for a much-coveted holiday home in Competa in Axarquia, Spain, for a point-blank refusal to commit.
Jonnie showed the Northern Irish pair a two-bedroom townhouse for his second offering, in line with their £175,000 budget.
They relished the entertaining space but it didn't tick all the boxes but, sure enough later in the programme, a four-bed townhouse in Competa seemed ideal.
The A Place In The Sun host couldn't hide his delight as he urged the pair: "Go on! Jump in!"
Yet in a killer blow, Seamus confessed: "I don’t think we’re quite ready to put an offer on it yet.
"This has made us realise we’re looking for something we can put our stamp on."
He told how even what appeared to be their dream home would need extra work, courtesy of the small roof terrace.
He explained they would need to pump funds into building an outdoor kitchen to make it workable.
Michael told the couple were wanting to keep looking a bit longer – which prompted a reminder from Jonnie that it could be snapped up at any minute.
As Jonnie continued to fly the flag for the holiday home, an undecided Michael mused: "We could well come back to the townhouse.
"It’s a pretty little village but it’s not got enough life for us."
He added "it's not meant to be" as the property expert suggested they might miss out on their sunshine townhouse life.
As the episode closed, it was confirmed the couple had an offer accepted on a building project – a major U-Turn to what they originally requested from the host, who has been fronting the property development show for the past 17 years.
They then stressed to Jonnie they were excited about making the home their own.
The past few A Place In The Sun episodes have been challenging for Jonnie's skills, as he lost patience with an "unreadable buyer" and snapped: "I can't work you out."
He was also left baffled when a show star confessed to "stabbing himself" with a knife to stop his nervous giggles when appearing on the show.
Watch A Place in the Sun weekdays on Channel 4 at 3pm.
