HOLD onto your hats – the drama of the play-offs aren't far away.

Clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two are all dreaming of promotion as they head into the play-off stage, where we know anything is possible.

Last season, Aston Villa, Charlton and Tranmere Rovers were all successful and promoted to the next tier.

When are the EFL play-offs?

WEMBLEY – the Home of Football – will once again host the EFL play-off finals.

Once the two-legged semi finals are complete, it's over to the final where two sides will battle it out for the remaining promotion spot.

All of the finals follow the same format, heading into extra-time and then penalties if it's a draw at the final whistle.

Here are your key dates for the 2020 season:

  • Championship play-off final – Monday, May 25 2020.
  • League One play-off final – Sunday, May 24 2020.
  • League Two play-off final – Saturday, May 16 2020.

Kick-off times for each game is yet to be confirmed, although 3pm is usually customary.

Dates for the semi-finals will also come at a later date once the regular season ends on Sunday, May 2.

How can I watch on TV and online?

EVERY play-off match will this season be shown live on Sky Sports.

Each semi-final is also broadcast on the platform.
