National Lottery down reports are surging in at the moment as people in the UK flock to get their ticket or numbers in ahead of the biggest EuroMillions jackpot ever.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a huge spike in National Lottery down reports ahead of the cut off point for getting a EuroMillions ticket.

At the time of writing Down Detector UK has recorded a peak of around 1,100 National Lottery down reports.

Out of those affected some 50 percent are having problems with the website, while others are having issues with the app or login problems.

As the reported Lottery website and app issues hit users took to Twitter to report the problems they were facing.

One tweeted: “Your lottery app is down, aswell as the online website @TNLUK”.

While another posted: “Lottery site down! #NationalLottery”.

One added: “Trying to log into my lottery account and the website is down loooooool you lot are really trying to win this euro millions”.

And another wrote: “@TNLUK your lottery app and page has been down for agesssssss”.

The official National Lottery Twitter account has been replying to customers struggling to purchase a EuroMillions ticket tonight.

And the @TNLUK has reassured customers that the Lottery website and app is working.

Replying to one customers the National Lottery Twitter posted: “Please keep trying because we can see that people are managing to get online and purchase tickets. It may have slowed down but it’s still working”.

Time is, however, running out for anyone hoping to buy a EuroMillions ticket for today’s draw.

On the day of a draw the cut off time you can buy a Lottery ticket is 7.30pm UK time.

If you’re not having any joy using the Lottery website or app and think you’ll be able to pop to the shops, get in line and purchase a ticket before 7.30pm then that is one option.
