Looking on point in a crisp white shirt and tousled curls falling over her shoulders, I'm a Celeb 's Scarlett Moffatt took to her Instagram story yesterday to share a major career highlight.
Struggling to hold back the tears, the 30-year-old excitedly told fans and her “lovelies” she’d gone back to her old uni, York St John, to film with Dr Alex George for brekkie show Lorraine.
Clearly chuffed with herself, she waxed lyrical: “I think if I told myself I’d be doing this 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it."
“It’s crazy how life works out”, the TV personality added, impressed with not just herself but also the work of costar, Dr Alex George, the UK’s Youth Mental Health Ambassador,
“The HEADucation campaign that Dr Alex is doing is amazing”.
Launched in Feb this year, HEADucation tours around schools and universities in the UK on a mission to highlight mental health among young people.
The aim of the incredible initiative is to help educators spot the signs of potential mental health problems early on and to make young people aware of the support they can access.
A previous Instagram story sees her on a bench beside Dr Alex at the uni’s sunny campus.
In the caption, the CelebAbility presenter penned: “Thank you for letting me be part of it and for letting me talk about my experiences with Samaritans”.
As if the major career highlight wasn’t enough to set Scarlett off, she got all emosh at being back at her beautiful former campus – just like anyone else would.
“It was very overwhelming”, she shared through a beaming smile. “Standing in the place that I had my final year ball with my girls”.
The former Gogglebox star signed off by telling followers what’s on the cards for her next:
“Now, I am getting ready to go to Northern Ireland for three weeks, so I need to pack my case. Wish us luck”.
And as she sets off her next adventure from Glasgow airport, fans are surely sending those good vibes!
