The much-loved promotion launched back in 2005 and works similarly to the classic Monopoly board game. Customers over the age of 18 have the chance to win prizes by collecting game pieces from menu items such as fries, wraps, drinks and McFlurry’s.
Simply by peeling off the game pieces from these selected items, customers can instantly win free food items and bigger prizes, such as a £2,000 holiday with TUI.
Fans can also choose to collect property pieces of the same colour to earn the most extravagant prizes via the MyMcDonald’s app and mcdcollect.co.uk, where they will then get another chance to win.
The McDonald’s lover explained his long list of winnings in the video.
He said: ‘I spent fifty quid on McDonald’s fries just to see what the chances are of winning Mcdonald’s Monopoly this year, so here are the results.’
After peeling 64 stickers, he revealed that he secured a total of 17 instant wins.
He added: ‘ I won three lots of six chicken nuggets, one coca-cola, two apple pies, two small fries, two McFlurry’s, one McCafe hot drink, one iconic menu item.’
In addition to the free food items, he also won five discount codes but claimed ‘I’m never going to use [them].’
He continued: ‘Now, as for the other codes, I entered these into the app, and won some more… prizes.’
The additional prizes included a £10 Skullcandy voucher and fridge magnets.
