Huddersfield plot shock Lincoln transfer from Flamengo with Brazil Under-20 star compared to Robert Lewandowski

HUDDERSFIELD are reportedly plotting an ambitious swoop for Brazilian hotshot Lincoln.

Flamengo are willing to listen to offers for the 20-year-old forward, who has earned comparisons to Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski for to his style of play.

Huddersfield have been alerted and are exploring a potential January deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The Terriers have enjoyed a solid start to life under Carlos Corberan following his appointment last summer.

Corberan's men have picked up eight wins from 20 fixtures to sit 12th in the Championship table.

Josh Koroma has stepped up to fill the attacking void created by Karlan Grant's £15million transfer to Premier League strugglers West Brom in October.

But Corberan could do with additional firepower heading into the second half of the campaign if Huddersfield are to gatecrash the play-offs.

Lincoln has been a highly-touted prospect since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old in November 2017.

He initially attracted interest from Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus, while Real Madrid sought a first refusal, but his development has stalled.

Flamengo fans have witnessed Lincoln net just three goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season, prompting the possibility of a departure.

The 5ft 9in hotshot has a better scoring rate at international level, with four goals from 11 caps for Brazil's Under-20s.
