‘Hero’ mum’s hack stops kids from finding her Dairy Milk chocolate stash

A mum came up with a clever way to keep hands off her chocolate stash.

On the Family Lockdown Tips Facebook page, Jenny admitted to hiding Dairy Milk bars in egg boxes.

According to the Mirror, she wrote: "Another lockdown means my number 1 parenting tip is coming back out.

"How to hide chocolate from the kids and partner!"

Since the hack was posted, it has received 5,200 likes and over 300 positive comments from fellow parents.

One said: "This is a game changer!!! I will definitely be doing this!!"

A second wrote: ”This is pure genius!! You should run for parliament.”

And another added: "Yes! My daughter hates eggs so this is a brill hack for me!"

Jenny isn’t the only parent who hides their chocolate either.

One Facebook user laughed: "The cleaning cupboard sadly works well too!!!"

A second confessed: "I hide mine in my teabag boxes lol" and a third wrote: "Mines at the back of the salad drawer in the fridge."

That's not all either!

Previously, a viral Facebook post showed an empty bag of vegetables filled with chocolate bars and other treats.

As it's a place kids don't tend to look, it stops them from snaffling the goodies.

Writing on social media, one user said: “Omg so got to try this.”

Another commented: “Maybe that’s why there are so many bags of peas and corn in the freezer…”

And a third mum said: “Haha looks familiar, but I hide mine in the fridge vegetable drawer.”
