Grossed-out beautician puts hand in urine after tanning customer wees in bin

A beautician had a nasty surprise when she dipped her hand into a customer's urine after they decided to have a wee in the bin.

In a grim video uploaded on TikTok by @thetanningshoplakeside a worker explains that she went to clean up the tanning bed and room used by a customer, who she called "Karen".

She says: "I grab the rubbish to empty the bin and my whole hand goes in Karen's urine.

"Don't be like Karen just ask to use our toilet."

She said the woman came in to use the sunbed and left "with no issues" so the damp present left in the bin came as a bit of a shock – and it was too late to confront her as she'd already the building.

The video has been liked thousands of times since it was uploaded two days ago on April 19 and, while many viewers were shocked, others in the business said it was a common issue.

One person blasted: "Why do people do this????! They used to wee in the bins in my sunbed shop??? Why!!"

Another person commented: "This happened at my local tanning shop too. People have no shame."

"Some vile creature did this when I worked in a tanning shop years ago. I feel your pain," said a third.

Meanwhile, another tanning shop worker said she's experienced "much worse" and another user said they had to ban a woman from a tanning shop who kept pooing on the beds.

"We had someone s*** in the bin and try to throw it behind the bed," commented someone else.

Despite the horror stories in the thread, the salon urged people not to worry about the hygiene of tanning beds and promised they were thoroughly cleaned between each use.

They wrote in the comments: "Please don’t be put off!

"What people do is rotten but I can assure you no matter, the beds and the room will always be clean for the next person."
