Best horse racing tips: These big-priced Kempton fancies can land you a post-Christmas present on King George day

SUN Racing is back to give you some insight on big horses at even bigger prices.

Here, we try to find the value bets which could net you a tasty return from a small stake this Boxing Day.

JARVEYS PLATE (3.35 Kempton)

It’s interesting to see canny Fergal O’Brien sending him back over hurdles after making mistakes over the bigger obstacles.

He was a Graded performer in this sphere last year and landed a Listed success at Cheltenham. That makes him capable of making his presence felt in this lesser company.

Each-way Thief

GETAREASON (1.15 Kempton)

This seven-year-old is one of a batallion of horses that joined Paul Nicholls from Willie Mullins. He has looked in need of his first couple of runs on this side of the Irish Sea but there were good signs here last time with a close-up fourth.

He can build on that and looks on a fair mark for this open handicap.

Colin Tizzard’s chaser was well backed for this last season only to flop. He has more than bounced back from that with an excellent third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

He got stuck in the mud a little when third on comeback at Haydock and will be much happier in these conditions.

Don't forget, SunSport tipster Templegate has given a verdict on every race on Boxing Day.
