Ulrika Jonsson is baffled by Gordon and Tana Ramsay considering a sixth child

TV personality Ulrika Jonsson has described how she is “baffled” by TV chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana 'considering' a sixth child.

Speaking in a new candid interview, the TV chef, 54, said that he and Tana, 47, have discussed the possibility of trying for another child, two years after they welcomed youngest son Oscar.

The couple, who have been married for 25 years, are already parents to Megan, 23, twins Jack and Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and their youngest Oscar, two.

Ulrika, 54, has openly claimed in her Sun column that she is “baffled” to hear the couple would consider a sixth baby.

She said: “Could it be true that fiery 54-year-old Gordon Ramsay and his corker of a wife really want to have a sixth child?

"With them having welcomed their fifth addition only two years ago, I find the prospect baffling.”

The mum-of-four said it wasn’t the “sheer number of offspring” that baffled her but the ages Gordon and Tana are.

She went on: “Granted, I am a mum of four but my issue is not the sheer number of offspring but more Gordon and Tana’s ages.

“I know men can seemingly carry on reproducing to infinity and Tana is 47, so it’s not outside the realms of possibility. But why?"

The TV favourite says she can’t understand how at their ages they still feel “maternal compulsion”.

She explained: “When I met a man, my instinct was to reproduce. It was as if my ovaries let out a loud foghorn of maternal compulsion, signalling that I was a procreator in waiting."

She went on: “The contemplation of motherhood – something I yearned for nearly all my life – has utterly disappeared.”

Gordon revealed the prospect of a new addition to their brood in an interview withDaily Mail’s You Magazine.

He said: “We discussed having another baby. I said it was a great idea."

He revealed Tana was just as keen: "She said: 'Well, let’s start planning'. So I’m like: 'Oh my god, just pause for two seconds. I’m going to be the oldest dad at school, what’s going to happen on sports day?' But it’s something we’d still consider, because it’s been such a joy spending time with Oscar."
