Sam Quek has backed her “work husbands” Ugo Monye and Dan Walker on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Olympian and TV presenter spent the summer co-hosting Olympic Breakfast on the BBC alongside Dan, while she is a captain on Question Of Sport alongside former rugby star Ugo.
Ugo in particular has been impressing the judges with his moves, with the 38 year old and his professional partner Oti Mabuse seeing their Couple’s Choice dance score them an incredible 31 points at the weekend.
Ugo found himself sixth on the leaderboard, while Dan’s Foxtrot sadly saw him second from bottom above Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
But one person who is backing both stars all the way is Sam, who admits she has “spent a bit of money voting for them”.
The 32 year old exclusively told OK!: “I’ve got my eye on both of them very tightly. I’ve definitely spent a bit of money on some texts voting for them both.”
Sam’s husband Tom Maris added: “Dan and Ugo are Sam’s work husbands!”
And Sam, who says she “loves” the show, admits that she has been poking fun at both Ugo and Dan for their Strictly makeovers.
“Ugo I see him so often so I’ve been texting him to take the Mick out of him. Although I’m not sure about Dan wearing eyeliner either!” she says.
She continued: “’I’ve been watching. I love Strictly! It’s funny as quite a few people I’ve worked with are doing it this year.”
Sam, who recently exclusively announced she is expecting her second child, also praised Ugo for making his debut on Strictly just hours after attending his dad’s funeral.

She told us: “I saw him a few days before that and I said to him: ‘What you’ve got through and how you managed yourself it’s full credit to you and who you are.’
“He has his family and his daughters, but it’s unbelievable he managed to do that. He’s very matter of fact about things and he said he just has to deal with it very head on.”
Sam continued of Ugo’s strength: “He said life goes on and you can’t be sad about it and you just have to get on with it.”

The sports star also revealed that Ugo was hoping to be partnered with two-time Strictly champion Oti all along.
She added: “He has a brilliant partner in Oti and I think he always wanted her from the start.”
