Paddy McGuinness, 48, made the decision to quit Soccer Aid 2021 after suffering an injury. The Question of Sport presenter admitted he is “gutted” about not taking part in the annual charity event.

Taking to Twitter, the former Take Me Out presenter explained that he will not be taking part in this year’s charity football match.

In view of his 539,000 followers, Paddy encouraged everyone with a ticket to still attend the star-studded event.

He penned: “Good luck to both teams today at @socceraid for @UNICEF_uk gutted I’ve had to withdraw with injury.

“If you’ve got a ticket you’re in for an absolutely great day for a great cause #socceraid.”
