Lorraine Kelly, 60, sent her apologies to one of her loyal viewers after a discussion about the latest chapter of hit rom-com Sex and the City. The series revival And Just Like That, is currently mid-run on Sky and NOW for fans in the UK, but reports have claimed that actor Chris Noth, who played the late Mr Big in the show, has been “axed” from the finale of the rebooted series.

I’m so sorry!

Taking to Twitter after the show, the viewer exclaimed: “@reallorraine thanks Lorraine!

“You’ve just spoilt SATC for me.”

The fan-favourite was quick to send her sincere apologies as she replied: “Oh Jaime I’m so sorry!”

Another fan chimed in with a warning, adding: “Golden rule if you don’t want spoilers don’t go on social media.”

Discussing the reports with entertainment reporter Ross King on her show, Lorraine warned viewers a spoiler was coming.

“We know, spoiler alert!… that he dies in an episode, but he was going to come back as some sort of ghost at the end?”

Ross agreed, but didn’t give too much away.

“Producers said it was a minimal amount of footage and they’re also saying it was not an essential part of the scene,” he explained.

It comes after Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women during periods in Los Angeles in 2004 and in New York in 2015, retrospectively.

The women approached The Hollywood Reporter with the alleged claims and said promotions and press reports of the sequel series brought back painful memories of the incidents.

A third woman then came forward and claimed that the actor forced himself on her in the back of a Manhattan restaurant in 2010.

Noth has also been dropped by his agent and other series he was involved with in wake of the allegations made against him.

In response to the accusations, Noth branded therm “categorically false”.

He said in a statement to Page Six: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.”

He continued: “It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out.

“I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

The series revival sees main characters Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) continue with the next chapter of their lives, facing challenges old and new in friendship, love and loss as they also navigate a changing cultural climate.
