Little Mix: The Search’s Melladaze praise Perrie and Leigh-Anne as they juggle work and motherhood

Little Mix: The Search stars Melladaze have praised mentors Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock for their juggle work with motherhood.

While Leigh-Anne, 30, welcomed twins on 16 August with her footballer fiancé Andre Gray, Perrie, 28, became a mum to son Axel with her Liverpool footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain five days later.

Opening up about the new mums going on tour with bandmate Jade Thirlwall next year, Melladaze's Aisli Moran exclusively told OK! that it is “inspiring” for them to see Little Mix succeeding as women in the music industry.

She said: “It’s so mad how they’ve just had children and they’re going to go straight on tour. It’s amazing and so inspiring for us to see that as well.

“We’re so excited to see what else they’ll do. Leigh-Anne has her film coming out which is so exciting. We’re dying to see that.”

Megan Whelan added: “We’re really excited for them. We want to go and watch them and support them on tour.”

Leigh-Anne recently explained why she’s decided to keep the names and genders of her twins private.

She said: “I’m just gonna keep it to myself.”

Meanwhile five-piece Melladaze, who finished as runners-up on the BBC music competition in November 2020, have just released their debut single I H8 U.

Telling us how it feels to have released their own music, Aisli said: “It's been a long time coming that's for sure! But we're all really excited about it and we're so happy it's finally out.”

This song was actually like one of the most recent songs we recorded. So we do a lot of writing camps. So we go for weeks at a time to write new songs.”

Ellie Allen added: “I think we wrote this one three months ago. We just wrote it and we knew that that was the one.

“We had loads of other contenders. But it was the most recent one and we were like, ‘Yeah, you know what, that is actually the one!’ and we just worked towards that since then to release it.”

The song is a break-up song, and the stars also opened up on what they’ve learnt from past splits.

Lauren Bowry told us: “Always stay true to yourself and tell yourself, ‘You are amazing, regardless of what situation you've been through.’

Liv Aidam added: “Everyone's replaceable, to be honest. If someone's not treating you well and being nice to you, then there's always going to be someone better around the corner.”
