Joe Biden is the projected winner of the 2020 presidential election.
The 77-year-old Democratic nominee and Vice President pick and running mate Kamala Harris have been declared the winner of the election via multiple outlets on Saturday (November 7). The projection came from both CNN and MSNBC after new votes came in from Pennsylvania, which pushed him to the point where he won the state.
Biden successfully secured wins in swing states, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. He’s still leading in states like Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona, though the results have not been called in those states yet.
At the same time, President Trump swore victory of his own in a wild speech filled with lies about the election being stolen away from him, prompting much backlash.
