Emily Atack reveals she would be ‘crying’ if she had a boyfriend at the 2020 Global Awards

Emily Atack, 30, seemed quite happy to be single at last night’s Global Awards 2020 ceremony, after revealed she would be “crying” if she had a boyfriend because “there’s too many fit men here”. The former I’m A Celeb star left guests in hysterics with her hilarious quips as she presented the award for best podcast alongside singer Anne-Marie.

But what really got the audience laughing was when she praised the male attendees of the ceremony.

She said: “I’m technically here on my own but who wants a boyfriend dragging them down in this kind of situation?

“There’s too many fit men here,” she laughed.

“Seriously, if I had a boyfriend right now I’d be crying.”

The former Inbetweeners star joined a star-studded guest list that featured the likes of Ellie Goulding, Harry Styles, Little Mix and rapper Aitch.

And she didn’t restrict her praise to just the guests.

She joked: “Even the security who brought me in, I was like ‘Oh, hello’.”

And the 30-year-old star definitely looked the part as she graced the carpet in a stunning black, one-shouldered gown as she arrived on the blue carpet at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday.

The Global Awards hosted a slew of music’s biggest stars in contention for the top prizes.

Among others in attendance was Lewis Capaldi, who never fails to make people laugh wherever he goes.

And, last night was no exception as he left fans in hysterics with his acceptance speech.

He was back at it again with his hilarious anecdotes as he scooped up not one, but two awards at last night’s ceremony that took place at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

After winning Best Mass Appeal Artist and Most Played Song with Someone You Loved, the hitmaker wasted no time in being completely humble with his wins.

He praised his fans for their votes: “Thank you so much for this lovely award – two of them, double awards. Most Played Song, I really appreciate it.

“It means a lot that you guys have played this to the point that the British public absolutely despise me,” before laughing it off.

He continued: “Genuinely, all jokes aside, it means the world. I don’t take it lightly and if I was there I’d give you all a big lovely kiss on the mouth.

“It would be a slobbery kiss – but I’m not [there] so I won’t. I’ll see you very soon and please for my next album, let’s give it a go again because I do not want to be a failure. Thank you so much, I love you all.”

The Bruises singer is making a habit out of scooping double awards as he also recently took home two winning titles at the 2020 BRITs.

He walked away with Best British Single with Someone You Loved and Best British Album for his hit collection Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
