Britney Spears is one step closer to freedom. After it was announced yesterday that Britney's father Jamie Spears was suspended as her conservator, the entire internet began to celebrate — celebrities, included.

For starters, Britney herself appeared to be flying high following the news (quite literally.) "First time flying a plane and first time in a prop plane ✈️ !!! Geez I was scared 😳 🙄 !!!"

Britney's new fiancé Sam Asghari also shared several Instagram posts congratulating her. "Free Britney!," he wrote in one Instagram story. "Congratulations!!!!!!!!" Another post showed a photo of the couple holding a pink rose together, while the third featured a black-and-white snapshot of a lion, which Asghari captioned, "She did this. Her fan base is called the Army for a reason."

Other celebrities took to social media to celebrate the courtroom victory in the singer's case. "Thank God," wrote Cher. "I've talked & 🙏🏻 🙏🏻'd About This 4 Years. I'm more than thrilled 4 her."

Singer and Twitter icon Dionne Warwick also tweeted words of support for the pop star. "This is wonderful news," she wrote. "She can now breathe. Congratulations Britney. Enjoy your life!"

Additionally, Kathy Griffin, La Toya Jackson, Vanessa Carlton, former bachelorette Tayshia Adams, and a legion of Britney stans erupted in excitement on Twitter.

Page Six reported that Spears "burst into tears" when she first heard the news that her father was going to be removed from her conservatorship, with a source saying: "For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father's domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened." They added, "She's in shock and at a loss for words but literally jumping for joy. She hasn't felt joy like this in 13 years." Congratulations, Britney!
