A SAVVY mum has proved you don’t have to spend a fortune to transform your home, as she did her entire house for £50.
The woman revealed on Facebook how she was given a dingy council home after being homeless, but it “wasn’t in good shape”.
She set out to transform the pad on a shoe-string budget to create a beautiful home for her and her daughter.
The photos in DIY on a Budget show the bland lounge being transformed with pretty grey wallpaper.
And the dull bedroom has been given a new lease of life with beautiful patterned paper and a lick of paint.
The mum explained: “Me and my daughter spent whole 5 days on airbeds while we decorated with some help from my family but definitely done on a budget.
“Don’t think I spent more than £50, went to B&M and had paper down to £1 a roll, and curtains were 10p then with other paints and bits.
“May not be to everyone’s taste but I’m very proud of what I’ve done here, pic don’t do justice of how bad it was.”
Many people were impressed with what the mum achieved without forking out a large sum of money.
One raved: “Looks brilliant!! Well done u."
