IT’S been a firm favourite on the high street for many savvy shoppers, and Matalan’s latest new-in collection has set tongues wagging once again.
One fashion fan took her social media followers on a tour of her local Matalan store to see what was hanging on the rails – and people went mad for what they saw.
Ashleigh, who runs @ashleighmoneysaver, uploaded a video showing the clothes she’d spotted that she thought others would like from the Spring range.
She explained: “Spring fashion has landed and there’s so many new bits on offer.”
This included adorable matching mummy and daughter dresses in a turquoise colour with a pretty flower design.
Holding them up to the camera, Ashleigh explained: “These gorgeous mummy and me dresses are super cute.

Another hidden gem was a Zara dupe – a black and white collared top for just £17 that she said was giving her major “vibes” and could be on sale in the popular fashion store.
Elsewhere, there were lots of ensembles available for every occasion, including a matching two-piece monochrome co-ord.
Ashleigh continued: “This lovely two piece co-ord comes with a short sleeve shirt and matching wide leg trouser.

“The trousers are £17 and then the shirt is £15.”
The savvy shopper, who shares tips to bag bargains on her TikTok account, also said she was a fan of a shorter pastel print dress for £23, which she described as “floaty and pretty”.
Other items that caught her eye included a £19 pair of light denim skinny jeans, a black and white tribal print shirt, again for £19, and a £21 brown cardigan.
In fact, Ashleigh said she’d team all three together to create the perfect go-to Spring outfit.
She explained: “This is a whole outfit ready to go. Just these three pieces and you’ll look absolutely amazing on those Spring days, whether it’s warm or cold.”
The TikToker also pointed out that maxi dress season is nearly upon us, as she highlighted a tribal black and white one for £30.
And she finished her tour with a blue boucle style blazer with stylish gold buttons for £36, a silky, pastel leopard print top that cost £27, and a pair of classic nude heels for when you want to dress up.
After Ashleigh shared the video, many took to the comment section to say they were a big fan of the collection, as they shared their favourite item.
However, others all complained about the same thing and said they were distracted by the unusually high price tags.
One wrote: “Am I cheap to think this is expensive for Matalan?”
A second said: “Think Matalan have upped their prices a bit.”
While a third added: “Prices have increased soooo much!”

As another person pointed out: “Omg the prices have shot up, I’ll be going to Tesco.”
But Ashleigh responded to the critique and defended Matalan, as she wrote back: “Think everywhere has had to do with the cost of living and everything being more expensive.”
