If it's garden inspo you're looking for, then renovation and interior fan Laura Deller has got you covered, as she spruced up her back garden by upcycling her old garden furniture for just £17.
Mum-of-two Laura, who owns a 70s style fixer-upper in Bedfordshire, shared the transformation process on her home Instagram account @houseproject_36 and revealed all she used was one tin of Frenchic Al Fresco outdoor paint.
Her tired looking plastic rattan furniture was given a major facelift, as she covered it. including the glass table top, in two coats of paint – the first to prime her table and chairs and the second to darken the colour.
Sharing a video of the process, she revealed: "I used @frenchicpaint Alfresco on my faded plastic rattan to go from faded brown to sharp black."
Laura then added a step-by-step guide for anyone thinking of doing the same, which read: "1. Clean and prep, remove all residue and dirt, 2. Apply a thin coat to prime the furniture.
"3. Apply a second coat and then leave for 48 hours ensuring the temperature is higher than 10 degrees."
She continued: "4. Add as many cushions, throws and candles as you can to cosy it up! 5. Add friends and wine."
Laura grouped her freshened up furniture with a stylish egg chair from George at Asda, a fire pit, an outdoor monochrome rug (£26, B&Q) and a bucket load of candles and cushion to really make it cosy.
In a second post, sharing before and after pictures, Laura revealed: "The faded plastic rattan furniture has gone from drab to fab with 2 coats of @frenchicpaint Alfresco in Blackjack. I’ve even painted the glass table top and ceramic plant pots! (This is not an ad!).
"The soon to be excavated ‘shatio’ has been covered with a new @bandq_uk outdoor rug… the tin cost £17, so for me this has been a really thrifty upcycle!"
