I’m a cleaning expert – my three-step cleaning routine will keep you on top of your mess

WHEN it comes to cleaning your home, you'll want to stay on top of it before it quickly turns into an overwhelming mess.

Routine expert Hope Watson has posted a video revealing the three steps she takes every day to keep her home tidy.

Watson's first tip is to just "pick everything up."

"If you see something that isn't where it should be, pick it up," she said.

"Don't worry about putting it where it should be right now."

"The idea is just to get your space tidy without having to think about it too much."

Next, she suggested creating small piles to keep similar items together.

"Make a pile for your laundry, dishes, trash, and really anything else that's creating some sort of mess," she explained.

This will help keep you sort through each pile one by one.

"If you didn't put it away earlier, now is your time to start."

Watson suggested using this step to further help your cleaning by throwing in a load of laundry or clearing up your couch.

"Get your space back on track with how you want it to look," she said.

"I always start with vacuuming and dusting," Watson revealed, as this is the step that can take the longest. It's also the one that will make you feel accomplished.

After getting those tasks out of the way, she claimed she move on to cleaning up either the bathroom, shower, kitchen, or whatever else needs refreshing.
